Adrienne Bailon Signs With Def Jam

Last week, I ran into the 25-year-old former Cheetah Girl (in French Connection) at the 10th anniversary celebration of Nylon Magazine at NYC’s Thompson LES. There, I learned MTV picked up the second cycle of New Afternoons on MTV, which will kick off on April 13th. She’ll be hosting the afternoon block of programming on MTV and will also host specials and do celeb interviews.

Adrienne also just signed her first solo music deal with Def Jam and L.A Reid. She’s in the studio and working with chart topping producers including Brian Michael Cox (Usher, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige), The Dream (Rihanna, Beyonce, Mariah Carey), K. Brisco (Britney Spears’ “Womanizer”). I heard nothing but “club bangers” will be on the upcoming album!
