Avril Lavigne: Canada Weekend with Brody Jenner

The 26-year-old Canadian singer and her 27-year-old boyfriend are in town to attend the 2011 MuchMusic Awards, where Avril will be performing!

Avril‘s nominated in two categories: International Video of the Year by a Canadian (for “What the Hell”) and UR Fav: Artist.

“Performing at the #MMVA’s Sunday and for those in Toronto MuchMusic have a pair of wristbands to give away. RT this to win. Got to be 14+ xo” Avril tweeted, asking her fans to retweet for a free goody!

Later in the day, Avril wrote on Twitter that she was so happy to be in her homeland!

“I love coming home and seeing my family… Makes me so happy! So important to stay true to your roots.”
