'Harry Potter' Tops Box Office
Harry Potter took the top spot at the box office over the weekend, bringing Muggles from all over the planet to theaters and earning $476 million worldwide!
The final film in the franchise, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint earned $163 million in the U.S. alone, which bested The Dark Knight‘s previous record of the highest grossing first weekend in theaters.
Second place went to Shia LaBeouf‘s Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which took in $23.5 million for the weekend.
Third place went to Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman‘s Horrible Bosses, with $17.5 million.
Kevin James‘ Zookeeper took fourth, with $12.5 million, and rounding out the top five was Cars 2, with $8.2 million.
