Rihanna: 'S&M' Video Not Considered Fair Use

The 23-year-old singer will be heading to court next month in New York City over a copyright claim that photographer David LaChapelle filed against her for her “S&M” video.

David alleged that scenes in the video are rip-offs of his own work.

The judge threw out Rihanna‘s claim of fair use, stating that “both works share the frantic and surreal mood of women dominating men in a hypersaturated, claustrophobic domestic space.”
