Shakira: Barefoot Foundation Event with Gerard Pique!

Shakira speaks at a press conference for her charity, the Barefoot Foundation, held on Monday (August 1) in Miami, Fla.

The 34-year-old singer announced a partnership between the organization and FC Barcelona, the soccer team which her boyfriend Gerard Pique plays for.

“Hispanics in the United States have everything to gain,” Shakira said at the event.

“We have the talent, we have the will,” she added. “I truly think that with more education and more sports, we can achieve the unthinkable. We can have the ball on our side of the court and play the best of moves.”
