Rihanna Sues Her House's Former Owner

Rihanna leaves one her favorite restaurants, Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi, on Thursday (September 1) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 23-year-old singer has filed a lawsuit, claiming the 2-story Beverly Hills house she bought in 2009 had “major defects” the previous owner was aware of but failed to tell her.

“Rihanna claims the woman was lying – and knew about all sorts of problems with the home … including numerous waterproofing defects, evidence of water intrusion and other construction defects,” TMZ reports.

Ri is suing the owner because “the actual value of the property at the time of purchase, taking into consideration the extensive construction defects … was millions of dollars less” than the $6.9 million she paid.
