Liam Hemsworth takes the cover of Details magazine‘s March 2012 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (February 21).

Here’s what the Hunger Games star had to share:

On his character, Gale: “Gale is someone who want to stand up to this thing but can’t… He’s pretty powerless.”

On meeting girlfriend Miley Cyrus on set: “She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you’re filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you’re not human if you don’t feel something.”

On trying American foods: “Krispy Kreme – original glaze. I’ll buy two boxes of 12 and I’ll go through almost of them. It’s stupid. It’s ridiculous.”
