Cate Blanchett's Movie 'Where'd You Go Bernadette?' Pushed Back from March to August

Fans excited to see Cate Blanchett‘s upcoming movie Where’d You Go, Bernadette? will have to wait a lot longer to finally see it.

Annapurna Pictures has announced that the film is being pushed back from its March 22 release date to August 9.

A rep for the studio explained to Variety that the move is because female-fronted movies like Crazy Rich Asians, Julie & Julia, and Florence Foster Jenkins have all succeeded in the August release slate.

The film, based on the best-selling book by Maria Semple, is “about Bernadette Fox, a Seattle woman who had it all – a loving husband and a brilliant daughter. When she unexpectedly disappears, her family sets off on an exciting adventure to solve the mystery of where she might have gone.” Watch the trailer now!
