Elton John Defends Taron Egerton's Role in 'Rocketman'

Elton John is defending Taron Egerton, who portrays him in his upcoming biopic Rocketman.

Taron became the subject of criticism for being a straight actor playing a gay man.

“That’s all bulls**t, I’m sorry,” Elton told The Sun in response to the critique.

He added, “If people don’t like it, review-wise, or it doesn’t make one dollar, it’s the movie I wanted to make and that’s all that counts. I can look back and say, ‘You know what, I love it. I can live with it.’”
