The potential series was penned by Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey and was set for NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.

Here was the show’s pitch: “A baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sunglasses-wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong No. 2 Dionne steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans. How does Dionne deal with the pressures of being the new most popular girl in school, while also unraveling the mystery of what happened to her best friend?”

THR says that while a Clueless television series is still something the industry is interested it, Peacock has just passed on it at this time.

However, there is another Clueless project in the works at CBS Studios and they are trying their hand at a different update of the film.

Clueless is available now on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Google Play and more. However, the movie is not on Netflix at this time.

Just last year, the film’s star Alicia Silverstone opened up about the passing of co-star Brittany Murphy. Here’s what she said…
