Morgan Freeman Trends After Being Banned From Russia & Fans Are Questioning Why

Over the weekend, Russia released a lengthy list of people who are indefinitely banned from entering the country’s borders.

In addition to President Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton, the list also included Morgan Freeman – and his inclusion has fans very confused as to why.

Morgan took the #840 spot in the 963 long list, and his banishment might pertain to him lending his iconic voice to a PSA he filmed in 2017.

The country said that Morgan was a “well-known film actor who in September 2017 recorded a video message accusing Russia of conspiring against the United States and calling for a fight against our country.”

They were referring to a Committee to Investigate Russia clip in which Morgan lent his iconic voice, and accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of secretly using “cyber warfare to attack democracies around the world,” especially his “sworn enemy, the United States.”

“We have been attacked,” Morgan said over the clip. “We are at war.”

Many fans had been confused on social media why Morgan was included in the list.

“Russia banned Morgan Freeman?! Things gettin’ serious,” one user wrote, with another adding, “what did morgan freeman do to get banned from russia? 💀”

One more tweeter wrote, “How the hell did Morgan Freeman catch a stray today??”
