DC Announces 10 Film & TV Titles Amid Reboot of DC Universe - 4 Projects Still Coming in 2023 Revealed!

The DC Universe is expanding!

Three months after James Gunn and Peter Safran began to run DC Studios within Warner Bros. Discovery, the co-chiefs revealed the first 10 film and TV titles of the newly rebooted DC Universe.

“As many of you know, DC has been disconnected in film and television for a long time. It’s our jobs – mine and Peter‘s – to come in and make sure DCU is connected in film, television, gaming and animation,” James said.

“That the characters are consistent, played the same actors and it works within one story. If something is outside of that, like Matt Reeves‘ Batman or Todd Phillips‘ Joker or Teen Titans Go, that it is clearly labeled as DC Elseworlds, outside of the mainstream DCU continuity.”

The two shared their vision for Phase 1 of the DC reboot, which begins with a Superman movie in 2025.

“DC Studios is unprecedented. It is a standalone production entity and studio. It is the first time ever that everything DC related — film, television, live-action, animation, gaming — is all centralized under one creative vision, that of James and myself,” Peter Safran said in a statement.

Almost no casting decisions have been made yet, aside from one lead actress in an upcoming TV show.
