Rita Moreno's Grandson Helped Her Get A Role in 'Fast X'

Rita Moreno is opening up about how she was cast in the upcoming Fast and Furious movie, Fast X.

The 91-year-old 80 For Brady actress revealed in a new interview that her grandson, Justin Fisher, actually had a big part in her joining the 10th film of the popular franchise.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Rita revealed that it was a lunch between Justin and Vin Diesel that ultimately led to her role.

“[Vin and I] caught up and grabbed drinks after the event, and he’s so fond of my grandma,” Justin said, recalling their meet up after the premiere of West Side Story in 2021.

He added, “I told him, ‘You should work with her. You should have her be your grandma, have her slap you upside the head. Have her have a little tone, because you know her, it’s all tone.’”

Rita then kept mum about what fans could expect from her role in the movie, only saying that, “It’s astonishing.”
