The 24-year-old French actor is best known for playing Hannibal “the Cannibal” Lecter in 2007′s Hannibal Rising.

Gaspard‘s latest film, The Vintner’s Luck, has been generating buzz in Cannes. The film, which is not finished yet, is directed by Niki Caro who also directed the critically acclaimed movie, The Whale Rider.

The Vinter’s Luck is about a peasant winemaker who is visited by an angel once a year.

Last night, the 30-year-old actress hit up the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2009 benefit at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes.

La Cinéfondation is a foundation created to inspire and support the next generation of international filmmakers. It selects each year fifteen to twenty shorts and medium-length films, presented by film schools from all over the world.

Ziyi Zhang walks the red carpet of the Inglourious Basterds premiere held at the Palais Des Festivals during the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 20) in Cannes, France.

The 30-year-old actress made a brief visit last week to dozens of orphaned children and teenagers in Deyang, Sichuan Province. “These children need to know that they are loved and are not alone,” she told China Daily. “Only then will they not feel afraid of society or difficulties in life.”

Ziyi is an ambassador for the charity organization Care for Children.

The 24-year-old actor attended the screening of his own movie, Taking Woodstock, this past weekend at the Cannes Film Festival.

Emile was one of the guests of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who dined at Michelangelo in Cap D’Antibes on Tuesday. Also, director Quentin Tarantino, Diane Kruger and boyfriend Joshua Jackson, and Daniel Bruhl were among those at the dinner.
