Leonardo DiCaprio takes the stage to welcome the crowd at his second annual Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala held at Domaine Bertaud Belieu on Wednesday (July 22) in Saint-Tropez, France.
The 40-year-old actor’s big night brought out lots of stars including his beautiful girlfriend Kelly Rohrbach, Kate Hudson and her mother Goldie Hawn, Marion Cotillard, Adrian Brody, Orlando Bloom, Irina Shayk, Naomi Campbell, Elton John, Jessica Stam, Petra Nemcova, Natasha Poly, Lara Lieto, Sylvester Stallone, Joan Collins and Lewis Hamilton.
“Tonight’s event is about supporting LDF’s efforts to protect key species like the tiger, rhino, shark, and mountain gorilla by working with governments to conserve the jungles, coral reefs and forests they call home. By focusing on protecting these critically-endangered iconic species is almost like setting up a worldwide network of Noah’s arks,” Leo expressed during his speech. “We’ve decimated our forests, wildlands, polluted and over fished our rivers and oceans; all the key ecosystems that not only serve as a home to our planet’s biodiversity, but also make life here for us possible. I’m incredibly proud to be part of a night that will allow us to do so much to protect the planet.”
The event raised over $40 million for his foundation!
