60 Minutes commentator Andy Rooney died in New York at the age of 92 on Friday (November 4) after complications from unspecified minor surgery.
“Words cannot adequately express Andy‘s contribution to the world of journalism and the impact he made – as a colleague and a friend – upon everybody at CBS,” CBS CEO Les Moonves said in a statement.
“It’s a sad day for everyone at CBS News,” added CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager.
