It was a special day for Octavia Spencer!

The Oscar-winning actress was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday afternoon (December 8) in Los Angeles.

Octavia was joined at the event by her Spirited co-star Will Ferrell, her Truth Be Told co-star Mekhi Phifer, and members of her The Help family, including co-stars Viola Davis (with husband Julius Tennon) and Allison Janney, plus director Tate Taylor and producer Brunson Green.

“To be forever cemented in the mythology of this city and the film industry is an amazing honor,” Octavia said at the ceremony (via CBS News). “It took me a minute to absorb the profundity of this moment, the culmination of my dreams realized, hard work rewarded after a fair but healthy amount of failure and rejection.”

Derek Hough poses for a photo with his girlfriend and fellow dancer Hayley Erbert at the 2017 Just Jared Halloween Party on Friday (October 27) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 32-year-old dancer wore a bear costume while Hayley dressed up as Wonder Woman.

When Derek saw JJ’s Jared Eng in his evil clown costume, he was shocked to realize who it was behind the makeup! “This is my absolutely worst nightmare. Oh my god!” he said in an Instagram story video he took with Jared.

Some of the other celebs in attendance included basketball player Jason Collins as a handmaid with boyfriend Brunson Green as San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, comedian Jeff Dye as The Punisher, Manolo Gonzalez-Vergara as “Baetlejuice,” and Paulina Char as a skeleton.

Bachelor Nation’s DeMario Jackson, Jasmine Goode, Josiah Graham, and Fred Johnson stopped by with Vanderpump Rules‘ Scheana Marie.

Bud Light stocked up the bar at the party with beer for all the guests!

Bryce Dallas Howard comes out to support her dad Ron Howard at the premiere of When You Find Me held at the Ray Kurtzman Theater inside Creative Artists Agency HQ on Monday (November 21) in Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old pregnant actress wore a one-shoulder Christian Cota dress, Kotur clutch, Jimmy Choo shoes, and Vhernier jewels.

The 15-minute short is the story of two sisters who find their lives on a farm shattered when they suddenly lose their mother. The project was produced by Ron, as part of Canon’s Long Live Imagination campaign.

Bryce‘s friends from The Help also came out to support including actress Octavia Spencer and producer Brunson Green. FYI: The Help is out on DVD on December 6!
