The ladies of Danity Kane took over the airwaves in the mid-to-late ’00s, and kept us bopping with hit after hit following their debut with Season 3 of Diddy‘s Making The Band on MTV.

The group became the first female group in Billboard history to debut with their first two albums at No. 1, and provided plenty of smashes like “Show Stopper” and “Damaged” along the way.

Danity Kane has gone through different configurations and reunions over the years, as well as a fair share of drama, with their third album DK3 arriving in 2014 before an indefinite hiatus. Each member has embarked on different solo ventures since then as well.

The 2018 MTV VMAs are set to air live tomorrow night (August 20), and we’re looking back at what the star-studded show looked like 10 years ago!

The 2008 MTV VMAs aired on September 7, 2008, live from Paramount Pictures Studios. The show was hosted by Russell Brand, and had Britney Spears winning big that night with a total of three awards (she won Video of the Year, Best Female Video, and Best Pop Video for “Piece of Me.”)

Guests at the show included Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Chris Brown, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner (who were at the height of their Twilight fame), Zac Efron, Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, Jonah Hill, Lil’ Wayne, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, Seth Green, Tyga, Danity Kane, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Francia Raisa, Ashley Tisdale, Lauren Conrad, Ciara, Chace Crawford, Nicole Scherzinger, John Legend, and so many more!

It looks like newly reunited singing group Danity Kane has called it quits again.

The ladies – Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, and Shannon Bex – reportedly got in a heated argument during a recent studio session, TMZ reports.

“I now must walk away feeling used and manipulated,” Shannon said.

“Sadness does not even remotely begin to describe what I feel right now,” Aubrey said about the incident after reportedly being punched by Dawn.

Back in May, the ladies released their first single since reuniting last year, “Lemonade”.

Danity Kane strike a fierce pose together as they visit the Empire State Building to celebrate the release of their new single “Lemonade” on Monday (June 2) in New York City.

The girls – Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, and Shannon Bex – are in town for press and their sold out show at Irving Plaza as part of their No Filter Tour.

“Nothing like meetings in New York! I’ve missed this city & it’s energy!,” Shannon tweeted.

Danity Kane‘s Aundrea Fimbres has just announced that she is engaged and is leaving the group!

“I do have to say one thing if you guys don’t know. I just recently got engaged,” the 30-year-old singer shared during a kick-off #DKNoFilterTour performance in San Francisco (via Us Weekly). “Two dreams of mine have been to be a singer and be on stage like this and to have a family. In a couple of months, that’s all about to come true. I’m going to get married…”

She added, “I’ve gotten to do some amazing things with Danity Kane, but it’s time for me to start the next chapter in my life. So I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart… I love you so much. And I just wanted you guys to know from me.”

“They are going to kill it for you, while I go and have some babies!” Aundrea said.

Danity Kane is officially back with their first new single since reuniting as a group last year!

The girls – Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex, and Aundrea Fimbres – just released their new song “Lemonade” featuring rapper Tyga, via their Soundcloud.

The track, which is set to be the lead single for their upcoming album, was produced by The Stereotypes and features a sample of The Clipse‘s classic hit “Grindin.”

“Thank you to every person that cussed us out for taking to long. This is 4 u!,” Dawn tweeted. “And to the haters.. Shout out to that sour ass look on yo face.”
