On Wednesday (August 23), the 79-year-old actor – best known for his roles in Machete, Desperado, and Spy Kids – took to Instagram to celebrate 55 years of sobriety, while also sharing an inspirational message to those who are struggling.

The 2020 Hulu movie The Binge, which was a parody of The Purge movies, is getting a holiday-themed sequel!
The streaming service has dropped the trailer for the upcoming movie It’s a Wonderful Binge, which will premiere on Friday, December 9.
Here is the synopsis: “All drugs and alcohol are illegal except on the day of the Binge. Several years after their first Binge, best friends Hags (Dexter Darden), Andrew (Eduardo Franco), Sarah (Zainne Saleh), and Kimi (Marta Piekarz) face the realities of young adulthood as the annual Binge Day is moved to Christmas Eve. Amidst the chaos, Hags plans a proposal to Sarah while Andrew deals with his rocky relationships with his family and his girlfriend Kimmi. Will they survive this holiday season?”
Also starring in the movie are Danny Trejo, Tony Cavalero, Nick Swardson, Kaitlin Olson, Tim Meadows, Paul Scheer, Patty Guggenheim, Esteban Benito, Eileen Galindo, and Karen Maruyama.

Clerks III is being released in theaters next month and Kevin Smith celebrated the new film at the L.A. premiere!
The writer and director was joined at the event by Rosario Dawson and the rest of the cast on Wednesday night (August 24) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Also in attendance were cast members Jason Mewes, Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Austin Zajur, Danny Trejo, Marilyn Ghigliotti, Harley Quinn Smith, Kate Micucci, Jake Richardson, Marc Bernardin, and Yassir Lester.
For those who don’t know, Harley is Kevin‘s daughter and he recently told a great story about her!
Clerks III will be released on September 13 as a special Fathom Events release. Here’s the synopsis: “Following a massive heart attack, Randal enlists his friends and fellow clerks Dante, Elias, Jay, and Silent Bob to make a movie immortalizing his life at the convenience store that started it all.”

Steve Carell, Taraji P. Henson, and Michelle Yeoh hit the yellow carpet for the premiere of the new Despicable Me franchise movie on Saturday (June 25) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.
Fellow cast members in attendance included Danny Trejo and Dolph Lundgren.

When Gru crosses paths with the Minions, they build their first lair, design their first weapons, and strive to execute their first missions, and when the Vicious 6 oust their leader, legendary fighter Wild Knuckles, Gru sets out to join the group.

The 75-year-old Machete actor served hundreds of free meals from his popular Trejo’s Tacos joint to frontline workers at USC Verdugo Hills on Wednesday (April 15), according to TMZ.

Staff prepped bowls filled with canritas, chicken, steak asada and brisket for the hospital workers working through the pandemic.
He also did the same for doctors, nurses, administration and custodians at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles earlier in the week.
