Tyler Perry Says Goodbye To Madea at 'A Madea Family Funeral' NYC Premiere!

Tyler Perry keeps it cool and casual while attending the premiere screening for his latest film A Madea Family Funeral held at the SVA Theater on Monday (February 25) in New York City.

The 49-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Patrice Lovely, KJ Smith, Quinn Walters, Rome Flynn and David Otunga.

The new Madea film is the 11th and final for the writer-producer-director: “I don’t want to be her age playing her, so it was time to shut it down and move on,” Tyler told THR. “I’ve got some other things I want to do, and in this next 50, I’m going to do something different.”

“It’s always going to be open-ended because what you don’t want to do is murder a family member,” Tyler added. “And a lot of people feel like she’s a family member.”

David Otunga Reportedly Cleared After Jennifer Hudson Domestic Battery Investigation

David Otunga is clear following the investigation into Jennifer Hudson‘s allegations of domestic violence.

Following the news of the two splitting in November of 2017 after 10 years together, Jennifer received a protective order against David, in which she alleged that he got physical, grabbing their son by the hand and pushing her out of the bedroom.

Police have now reportedly closed the investigation and will not charge David, according to TMZ.

David posted a Mahatma Gandhi quote on his Instagram on Thursday (January 11) that reads “Truth is by nature self-evident. As soon as you remove the cobwebs of ignorance that surround it, it shines clear.”

Jennifer Hudson Mentions Relationship Trouble on 'The Voice'

Jennifer Hudson is opening up about relationship troubles in her life amid her breakup from longtime fiance David Otunga.

The 36-year-old entertainer is a coach this season on The Voice and her contestant Davon Fleming chose to sing Christina Aguilera‘s “Hurt” for the Top 10 week.

Jennifer asked Davon how he connects to the pain in the lyrics.

“Relationships, none of my relationships ever work out,” Davon said.

“Child, mine neither!” Jennifer quipped back with a big laugh.

After Jennifer and David split last month, she took out a protective order against him, but she dropped it last week and a temporary custody agreement was reached.

Jennifer Hudson Drops Order of Protection Against David Otunga, Temporary Custody Agreement Reached

Jennifer Hudson has dropped the Order of Protection against her estranged husband David Otunga, and he is now the primary caretaker of their son David Jr.

In addition, the pair have apparently reached a temporary custody agreement, TMZ reports.

David will be acting as the primary custodial parent of their eight-year-old son and he will be with him a majority of the time. Jennifer is currently filming The Voice UK and she’s committed to The Voice in Los Angeles as well.

No official statement has been made by either party.

Jennifer Hudson Allows David Otunga to See Son on Thanksgiving

Jennifer Hudson has modified her emergency order of protection against her former fiance David Otunga to allow him to spend Thanksgiving with their son David Jr.

The 36-year-old singer voluntarily granted the 37-year-old actor permission to see their 8-year-old during the holiday, from 3 p.m. Thursday through 7 p.m. Friday, E! News reports.

Additionally, David has submitted a petition asking for Jennifer‘s protective order to be thrown out. (See how David‘s rep responded here.)

The order of protection currently gives Jennifer ownership of their home and demands that David keep away from her and their son unless she gives written approval.

Jennifer and David announced that they were ending their 10-year-relationship earlier this month.

David Otunga's Rep Responds to Jennifer Hudson's Protective Order Against Him

Jennifer Hudson‘s ex-fiance David Otunga has responded to the protective order she was granted against him.

Otunga‘s lawyer says that he and Hudson have been in a custody battle over their eight-year-old son David Jr. and that Jennifer took out the protective order after she believed her ex would be granted primary custody.

“David Otunga has been trying to negotiate the terms of an amicable parenting agreement with Ms. Hudson for several weeks now,” his lawyer told TMZ. “However, when it became apparent to Ms. Hudson that Mr. Otunga would be the parent granted residential care of the child, as a result of Mr. Otunga being the child’s primary caregiver while Ms. Hudson pursues her career all over the world, Ms. Hudson decided to file a meritless Petition for Order of Protection in an effort to gain an unfair advantage in the custody dispute.”

“As a result of Mr. Otunga’s career in the WWE, Ms. Hudson felt that she could give an award winning performance in court to portray herself as the victim. Mr. Otunga has never abused or harassed Ms. Hudson or their son,” the statement added.
