Selena Gomez is possibly taking on a big new role.

The 28-year-old “Look at Her Now” singer is potentially starring in Dollhouse, a horror movie set in New York City’s fashion scene, via Variety on Tuesday (October 13).

She will also produce the film, along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps.

The movie is described as a psychological thriller “in the spirit of Black Swan,” and is looking for a director. Newcomer Michael Paisley wrote the screenplay.

“Selena’s involvement is an exciting direction for this project. She is supremely talented as both a star and a producer. Teaming Selena with Shawn and Dan’s expertise in the horror-thriller genre will elevate ‘Dollhouse’ and we couldn’t be more thrilled by the way this is being developed,” said STXfilms Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson.

Rick Fox will appear on the January 8 episode of Dollhouse alongside girlfriend Eliza Dushku, EW reports!

The 40-year-old actor will reportedly appear as an Active on the show.

The last day of shooting was this past Wednesday (December 16), and Eliza tweeted, “I love these peeps- we’re crazy-proud of what we made here & love that you’ve loved w/ us!”

Joss Whedon‘s drama Dollhouse has been canceled by FOX, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While expected to finish the 13-episode order, the sci-fi series starring Eliza Dushku may not be aired starting in December as FOX originally intended.

The series, which aired Friday nights but had ratings help from DVR viewership, starred Eliza as a DNA-altered human implanted with false memories to complete missions.
