Viola Davis and her husband Julius Tennon are such proud parents!

The Oscar-winning actress and her frequent collaborator walked the runway alongside their 13-year-old daughter Genesis at the Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris fashion show during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday (October 1) in Paris, France.

Viola was just one of MANY celebs who walked the runway for the event.

This year, alongside the entire L’Oréal Paris spokespeople family, the general public came together under the “Iron Lady” to make a feminine and feminist statement. The show was broadcasted live on Instagram, YouTube, and, for the first time, spectators were able to experience it on Roblox.

For those who don’t know, Viola and Julius have been married since 2003 after meeting on the set of the CBS show City of Angels in 1999.

Viola Davis was honored with a major award this weekend!

The 57-year-old The Woman King actress was presented with Public Counsel’s Annual William O. Douglas Award during a dinner event held at The Beverly Hilton on Sunday (December 11) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

There, Viola was joined by co-stars and friends, Octavia Spencer, Andra Day, Katie Lowes, Adam Shapiro, and Judge Greg Mathis and Greg Mathis Jr., and also by her family, husband Julius Tennon and their daughter, Genesis.

Viola was honored for her work on and off screen, through the production company she founded, JuVee Productions, as well as for championing various social causes including human rights, fighting bigotry and racism for the underserved and invisible.

Viola Davis stuns in a bright pink dress at the premiere of her new movie, The Woman King, during the 2022 Toronto Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall on Friday (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

The 57-year-old actress joined her costars John Boyega, Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim, Makgotso M, Thuso Mbedu, Sivuyile Ngesi, Masali Baduza, Siyamthanda Makakane, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, as well as director Gina Prince-Bythewood at the red carpet event.

Just a few hours earlier, the cast were seen at a Twitter Q&A panel in support of the movie.

Ahead of the screening of the movie, Viola gave an impassioned speech about it, calling it her “magnum opus”.

Viola Davis is opening up about what her daughter, Genesis, has put on her Christmas list this year.

The 55-year-old Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom star revealed to Jimmy Kimmel on his late night talk show this week that Genesis actually had some high hopes this year with her gifts.

However, Viola had to shoot down a lot of the items that were listed.

“She had things on that list where I had to say, ‘Let me tell you something, OK, Genesis? I don’t care how much money you think mommy has, 98 percent of the stuff on this list you’re not gonna get,’” she shared.

Viola recalled telling her nine-year-old that “‘You’re not getting that iPhone. You’re not getting that camera with the tripod on it. You’re not getting half the stuff on this list.”

“‘That’s the kind of mommy I am. Do you know how much that iPhone cost? $365 — do you have $365? Because I’m not spending that on a phone’,” she says.

Also this week, Viola opened up about the moment she learned of co-star Chadwick Boseman‘s death and said she “broke down”.

Viola Davis, McKenna Grace, and Allison Janney attend the premiere of their new movie Troop Zero on Monday night (January 13) at the Pacific Theatres at The Grove in Los Angeles.

Fellow cast members at the event included Jim Gaffigan, Milan Ray, Charlie Shotwell, Johanna Colon, and Bella Higginbotham.

Viola also brought along 8-year-old daughter Genesis Tennon.

Here’s the movie’s synopsis: A group of elementary-school misfits led by spunky outcast Christmas Flint (Grace) join forces to infiltrate the high-and-mighty Birdie Scouts youth group in order to win a talent show.

Troop Zero will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting on Friday, January 17.

Viola Davis is opening up about important life lessons!

The Widows actress made an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday (November 13).

During her appearance, Viola discussed the important advice her daughter Genesis gave her at just 5-years-old at the time after hearing her mother having a conversation on the phone with her manager.

“[We were] haggling over something and she said, ‘Mommy, put the phone down. I got to tell you, don’t let anybody put their life into your life. If they put their life into your life, you have to tell them to get out because they don’t have the pass-code,’” she said.

“I put the phone down and I said, ‘Genesis, say that again so I can write it down’…she teaches me a lot.”

Viola Davis and her daughter Genesis recently enjoyed a girls weekend in Las Vegas where they caught a performance of the acclaimed production of The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil.

The Oscar-winning actress and her sister brought Genesis, 5, to a performance and then got to go backstage to meet the cast!

Viola reportedly complimented the artistic director for the show’s “fabulous artistry and imagery.”

“Hanging out on Abby Road with the @CirqueduSoleil show LOVE,” Viola captioned the below photo on her Instagram account.

Two days after she went to the show, music icon Paul McCartney visited the production!
