The Harry Potter author opened up in the newest episode of The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling, released on Tuesday (March 14).
During the episode, she got candid about the comments she made on social media about transgender women.
“I absolutely knew that if I spoke out many people who would love my books would be deeply unhappy with me,” she said.

The Harry Potter author recently expressed concern for author Salman Rushdie, who was attacked on stage in New York.
“Feeling very sick right now. Let him be ok,” she wrote on Twitter, to which a user replied: “Don’t worry you are next.” She then tweeted at Twitter Support directly with “any chance of some support?” and added that the “Police are involved.”
