Chester Bennington takes center stage on Linkin Park‘s song “Lost,” which was released six years after his tragic death.

The newly released song is a leftover from the group’s 2003 album Meteora, which featured hits such as “Numb” and “Faint.” The remaining members of the band will pay tribute to the LP’s 20th anniversary with a re-release later this year featuring previously unheard material.

“Lost” is the first taste of that and arrived on Friday (February 10).

Talinda Bennington, the wife of the late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, has announced that she is engaged.

Chester died in July 2017 at the age of 41 after taking his own life. While she just announced the news on Instagram, TMZ is reporting that Talinda and her firefighter beau got engaged back in April.

“Dear family, I am overjoyed to announce my engagement to my angel on earth, Michael F. I am here to tell you that you can find love after tragedy, that a death of a soulmate does not mean the death of you. My family, friends, and my Linkin Park brothers welcome him to the family with open arms. I will continue to honor Chester and continue my life’s mission to make his passing not in vein. To all suicide loss survivors, you CAN be happy again. You CAN have space in your heart for grief, joy, happiness, sadness, and love. Thank you for ALL of your continued love and support, Talinda,” she wrote in the note on Instagram.

It is the two-year anniversary of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington‘s death and his wife Talinda is honoring him with a touching post.

Chester died in July 2017 after committing suicide at the age of 41.

“Hey guys, I woke up this morning to lots of messages of love and support from my friends and family, and I wanted to pass along to you the same love and support,” Talinda said in a video posted to her Instagram account on Saturday (July 20). “Today is going to be a really hard day for a lot of people, and that may be you, and I just want you to know that you’re loved, you matter, and the world means something with you in it. And today let’s make Chester proud, and take care of each other, because that’s what he would want us to do.”

Talinda captioned the video, “I woke up and this was on my heart… take care of each other today. Enjoy every moment of it. #makechesterproud #320changesdirection.”

Members of Linkin Park have paid tribute to the late Chester Bennington, one year after his tragic death.

“It has been a year since your passing—a surreal rotation of grief, heartbreak, refusal, and recognition. And yet it sill feels like you are close by, surrounding us with your memory and your light. Your one-of-a-kind spirit has authored an indelible imprint on our hearts—our jokes, our joy, and our tenderness,” the band wrote on Instagram. “Eternally grateful for the love, life, and creative passion you shared with us and the world. We miss you more than words can express.”

Chester passed away one year ago on July 20, 2017 from suicide. Our continued thoughts are with his loved ones during this time.

The guys from Linkin Park accept their award on stage at the 2017 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 19) in Los Angeles.

Rob Bourdon, Mike Shinoda, and Brad Delson accepted the award for Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock and they paid tribute to their late band member Chester Bennington.

“We want to dedicate this award to him, to his memory, to his talent, to his sense of humor, to his joy… I want you guys to take a moment to appreciate what you’ve got and make Chester proud,” Mike said.

Linkin Park is currently hosting a concert in Los Angeles to honor their late member Chester Bennington.

The band, along with Chester‘s fans and loved ones, gathered for the Linkin Park Celebrates Life in Honor of Chester Bennington concert on Friday (October 27) at the Hollywood Bowl.

The event is also being livestreamed on YouTube for fans around the world.

Chester tragically passed away at the age of 41 in July after committing suicide.

The show marks the band’s first live performance together since Chester‘s death.

Blink-182, Bring Me the Horizon, Machine Gun Kelly, Korn‘s Jonathan Davis, Kiiara, Zedd, members of No Doubt, Yellowcard‘s William Ryan Key, System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold‘s M. Shadows, and more are also set to perform.

Linkin Park also wanted highlight mental health with the event, sharing a link to the One More Light Fund, where fans can donate in Chester‘s memory.

Linkin Park is releasing one of Chester Bennington‘s final on-screen appearances before his tragic death in July.

The band’s Carpool Karaoke episode, which was filmed just one week before Chester‘s death, also features comedian and actor Ken Jeong.

“With the blessing of Chester‘s family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester. This was taped July 14, 2017,” a disclaimer by Apple reads before the footage begins.

Linkin Park is putting on a benefit concert at the Hollywood Bowl on October 27 called Linkin Park and Friends Celebrate Life in honor of Chester Bennington.
