Michelle Rounds, the ex-wife of Rosie O’Donnell, has died at the age of 46 in an apparent suicide.

Rosie started dating Michelle in 2011 and they got married in June 2012. The broke up in November 2014 and their divorce was finalized in March 2016. They were parents to their daughter Dakota, who is now 4 years old.

“I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy,” Rosie told TMZ in a statement. “Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle‘s family, her wife and their child.”

Michelle died on Monday (September 11) at her home.

“… If anyone would like to give to the National Suicide Prevention it would also be greatly appreciated. There are so many out there in this world that have demons that they think suicide is the only way out,” Michelle‘s mom wrote in a statement.

Rosie O’Donnell has filed for divorce from her wife of over two years Michelle Rounds, according to People.

It was announced earlier this month that the 52-year-old actress and television personality and her wife were separating.

Rosie filed at the Manhattan State Supreme Court claiming “an irretrievably broken relationship,” according to the documents People obtained.

Around the same time as her separation, Rosie announced that she was also leaving The View and had her final episode a couple of weeks ago.

Rosie O’Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds have split after a little over two years of marriage, according to Page Six.

The 52-year-old actress and television personality has also made the decision to leave The View to concentrate on her family.

“I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November,” Rosie‘s rep told Page Six. “Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last.”

Rosie O’Donnell hits the stage to accept an award at the 2014 Tony Awards on Sunday evening (June 8) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The 52-year-old entertainer, who was joined by her love Michelle Rounds, was the recipient of the 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award for her work with Rosie’s Theater Kids and bringing theater to young kids around New York City.

“I was stunned, number one, and then my second thought was, ‘Please tell me it looks like a real Tony,’” Rosie previously said about her win. “Whenever anyone comes to my house, I’m going to tell them this was for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical, and I was against Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel… but I won… It’s a huge thrill and great honor and probably the only way I’ll ever get a Tony in my life, but it’s good enough for me.”

Rosie O’Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds have welcomed a new baby girl Dakota!

The 50-year-old television personality took to Twitter to announce the happy news to her fans.

“we r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota – #withloveandthanks – AMEN” Rosie tweeted earlier in the day, along with a pic of the new smiling family.

Baby Dakota joins Rosie‘s four other children, Parker, Chelsea, Blake and Vivienne, that she had with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.

Rosie O’Donnell has tied the knot with her fiancee Michelle Rounds, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

The 50-year-old former talk show host suffered a heart attack earlier this month and Michelle was recently diagnosed with desmoid tumors, a rare disease. They decided to marry in private on June 9 before Michelle‘s first surgery.

“We married in private before her surgery. Just the two of us,” Rosie shared on her blog. “When we are both well enough, [we] will have the wedding of are dreams, surrounded by those we cherish. Thankful for the love and support so many have given us during these trying times.”

Rosie and Michelle hope to raise awareness for those affected by Desmoid tumors. The couple will be matching all donations made to Michelle‘s DTRF donation page and Rosie is also selling some of her paintings on eBay and will match the sale price of those as well. All proceeds will go to DTRF.org.

The 49-year-old Rosie Show host and Michelle, a New York City-based corporate headhunter, who are pictured here at a Thanksgiving “Feed A Friend” event in Miami, met at a Starbucks a few months ago and have been together ever since.

Late last month, Rosie and Michelle were spotted going for a motorcycle ride together in Miami Beach.
