Olivia recently spoke to the New York Post about Kim Kardashian‘s highly publicized divorce from Kris Humphries.

“I empathize. It’s not easy. It’s the hardest thing in the world. People judge you because divorce is seen as failure,” Olivia said.

“No one should be attacking her. Our attention should be focused on things that are truly scandalous,” Olivia concluded.

Earlier in the week, the 27-year-old Cowboys & Aliens actress and Tao also shared a meal together with a friend.

Olivia hasn’t mentioned anything publicly about reconciling but did tell Marie Claire that there’s no animosity after their split.

“We’re friends. His family is my family,” she told the fashion mag (via People).

Olivia can next be seen in Butter with Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman, as well as In Time with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

The 27-year-old actress and her ex looked friendly while out and about with their friend. Olivia and Tao split back in February.

The following day, Olivia wore a YSL sweater as she went out to lunch again with Tao and a group of friends.

Olivia Wilde and her husband, Italian prince Tao Ruspoli, have separated.

The 26-year-old Cowboys & Aliens actress and Tao, 35, called it quits after eight years of marriage, a rep for the actress confirmed to JustJared.com earlier today.

“They have been living apart after trying for quite some time to make their relationship work,” a source told People.

Olivia and Tao eloped when she was just 18 years old.
