Kim Kardashian is paying tribute to Thierry Mugler on Instagram, just a day after it was announced the designer had passed away.

The 40-year-old reality star shared many images that depicted her friendship and partnership with Mugler throughout the years on her feed.

“Manfred Thierry Mugler 💔 My heart breaks,” she began her post. “There’s no one like you! Your vision, your transformations, your magic! I am so honored to have known you, spent time with you and be a muse for you.”

Manfried Thierry Mugler has passed away at the age of 73, The Advocate reports.

The fashion designer, who was the founder of brand Mugler, died on Sunday, January 23.

“We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfried Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23 2022,” his official Instagram shared with fans. “May his soul rest in peace.”

Thierry made a big name for himself in the 1980s and 1990s, The Advocate says.

“He began his design career in 1971 but didn’t launch is own collection until 1973. His designs often featured broad, sharp shoulders, high glamour, and sharp tailoring. He also often incorporated sci-fi or futuristic elements into his designs,” the outlet shares of his career.

They also noted that Thierry had been one of the first designers to consistently use out trans models on the runway.

The designer is just one of many stars we have lost in just a few short weeks in 2022.
