'Smile 2' First Plot Details Revealed, 1 Original Star Returning & 5 Joining Cast!

Smile 2 is coming!

The sequel to the hit 2022 horror film is in the works, and a teaser just aired at CinemaCon 2024.

/Film was in attendance, and provided the first review of the teaser, noting that it focuses on an all-new character – a pop star – “whose glamorous world is about to get dragged to hell.”

After a few glimpses of her pop star performances, the footage then showed a man breaking into her dressing room and smiling creepily at her. She is also confronted by a child with braces who “flashes her a similar malevolent smile.” The reviewer described the footage as “flashier” than the first film.

Smile grossed more than $217 million at the box office on a $17 million budget.

Smile 2 arrives in theaters on October 18, 2024.

Anna Faris Returns To Acting To Go After Kathleen Turner's Fortune in 'The Estate' - Watch!

Anna Faris has an astonished look on her face in the first trailer for her new movie, The Estate.

The 45-year-old actress stars with Toni Collette, David Duchovny, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ron Livingston, and Kathleen Turner in the upcoming film, directed by Dean Craig.

Here’s a summary: Two sisters (Colette, Faris) attempt to win over their terminally ill, difficult-to-please aunt (Turner) in hopes of becoming the beneficiaries of her wealthy estate, only to find the rest of their greedy family members have the same idea.

The Estate will hit select theaters on Friday, November 4.

This will be Anna‘s first major role since she departed CBS’s Mom ahead of the final season in 2021.

Colin Firth Joins Almost All His Co-Stars at 'The Staircase' Premiere in NYC

Colin Firth and Patrick Schwarzenegger were just two of the stars who stepped out for the premiere of their new series, The Staircase, held at Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday night (May 3) in New York City.

The two actors met up with their co-stars Parker Posey, Sophie Turner, Dane DeHaan, Michael Stuhlbarg, Olivia DeJonge, Rosemarie DeWitt, Odessa Young, Tim Guinee, Cullen Moss, and Vincent Vermignon on the red carpet, just days ahead of the series premiere on HBO.

If you’re unfamiliar, The Staircase is a dramatic retelling of the true story of Kathleen Peterson’s murder, which her husband, author Michael Peterson, was convicted of.

The series is also based on the documentary of the same name, which focused on it Michael was truly guilty of the crime or not.

The Staircase debuts on May 5 on HBO.

HBO Max Reveals First Trailer & Premiere Date For 'The Staircase' - Watch!

Colin Firth gets interrogated in the brand new trailer for HBO Max’s The Staircase.

Based on the shocking true story, the limited series will center on author Michael Peterson (Firth), his sprawling North Carolina family, and the suspicious death of his wife, Kathleen Peterson (Toni Collette).

The series also stars Michael Stuhlbarg, Juliette Binoche, Dane DeHaan, Olivia DeJonge, Rosemarie DeWitt, Tim Guinee, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sophie Turner, Vincent Vermignon, Odessa Young and Parker Posey.

The Staircase debuts Thursday, May 5 on HBO Max.

The first look at HBO Max’s The Staircase eight-episode series just debuted online!

Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington walk the carpet at the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night (February 9) at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The two actresses are starring in the new Hulu series Little Fires Everywhere, which premieres on March 18.

Rosemarie DeWitt Joins the Cast of Reese Witherspoon & Kerry Washington's 'Little Fires Everywhere'

Rosemarie DeWitt has signed on for Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere!

The 47-year-old actress will star opposite Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, who are also executive producing the limited series.

The eight-episode drama, based on Celeste Ng‘s book of the same name, follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives.

Rosemarie is set to play Elena Richardson’s best friend Linda McCullough, who takes in an infant who was abandoned at a local fire station.

A premiere date for Little Fires Everywhere has not yet been announced.
